Sundance 2005.1

Sundance 2005.1

The first full day of Sundance 2005, and it’s as busy as usual. Thankfully, the weather is nice and the sky is clear. Makes all of this so much easier…

Our flight was good, with a few other Texas film folks traveling with us… plus, Stephen from Outfest, who flew from L.A. to Dallas, then all the way back to Salt Lake City. Poor guy.

We got in, and our next friend Rowdy (Austin film guy we met on the plane) gave us a lift to Park City… what a guy. We made terrific time, checked into our condo, and went off to HQ to get our badges. And once inside the Marriott, it was another fest reunion, bumping into friends from around the globe.

To keep things low key, we quietly made our way to see the Opening Night Film, Don Roos’ Happy Endings. My favorite aspect of the film had to be Steve Coogan (of course). That guy is a cinema klepto… stealing every scene he comes into contact with.

Then, Wendy and Jarod and I went to Albertson’s to stock up on essentials. Now, it’s in full-swing and we’re off to Main Street. More soon.
