Sundance 2005.3

Sundance 2005.3

Okay, have been too too busy to update the blog much… but that’s a good thing. It’s been a busy long weekend in Park City. The weather’s been nice, the films have been good, and everything feels solid thus far. It’s anxious, because we have our own festival in six weeks. The Sundance gang is doing very well, though, in their own hurricane of activity. I’ve seen Trevor out and about, and it’s nice to see him enjoying himself…

Meanwhile, the nights have been late and the mornings are way too early. Went to a few films with Jarod and Wendy, and we’ve been enjoying some of the various events that surround it all. The craziest event had to be the Cinetic Media party at Zoom, or rather the line outside the Cinetic Media party. About 20 minutes after doors opened, the party was at capacity. We braved the cold, made it in, and ultimately had a very, very nice time. Kudos to the Cinetic folks for managing everything very well.

Before that, it was a busy day of meetings and early morning screenings. The condo party for the 7th Floor was really nice. It gave us a chance to sit back and chat with Darren, Jesse, and Allen, three of New York’s hardest working film producers. Following that was a party co-hosted by Iron Mountain, up at the Snow Park Lodge… and it included manicures, massages, and tarot cards. Yes.

We’ve accepted a few more features after screenings here in Sundance… and I would love to share them, but everyone will just have to wait until February 7, when we start announcing.

Off to the final evening in Park City…
