Okay, this story is for real. Apparently, a student at LSU has entered the NBA draft. The only catch is that this guy never played basketball for the university. In fact, he never played much beyond intramural basketball. But, through a loophole, he is in fact able to be part of the NBA draft.
When contacted by USA Today, his former high school basketball coach had these words of encouragement:
“He averaged maybe six or eight points a game. He understood the game. I tried him at point guard his sophomore year. He was a diabetic. He was thin, and there was a problem with his stamina. But he was as good as anybody for two or three minutes.”
