Over the weekend, it was reported that Trent Reznor has decided to pull Nine Inch Nails from their slot as performers at next week’s MTV Movie Awards. The decision to cancel stems from a dispute with the network over an image of George W. Bush to be used as a backdrop for his Bush-bashing single “The Hand That Feeds.” Choice quote from Reznor:
“Apparently the image of our President is as offensive to MTV as it is to me.”

After all, Nine Inch Nails is not exactly embraced by MTV or its demographic, like it used to be. But then again, this move only drums up more interest in the single, and in the band.
