Today, the International Herald Tribune surveyed the reactions to the rejection of the document by voters:
French newspapers on Monday described May 29 as a historic turning point and took a gloomy view of the effect on France’s influence in Europe.
“There will be a before- and an after-May 29,” said Le Figaro. “The French take the risk that European history will proceed without them.”
