Live 8 Coming to TV

The upcoming Live 8 concerts from around the globe have found an American TV home with VH-1 and MTV. The networks announced that they would carry a live broadcast of eight hours (noon to 8 p.m.) of programming, during the July 2 event.

From MTV:
“The MTV partnership means the concerts could reach a potential worldwide audience of 1 billion people; 1985’s Live Aid reached more than a billion people and raised more than $100 million for African famine relief.”

More information on Live 8, including artist lineups and relief information, can be found here at their official Web site.
