Going 4th

Going 4th

The evening of July 4th, for me, was spent at director Richard Linklater’s homebase, a.k.a. Every Kid’s Dream. The compound is a combination of baseball field, go-kart track, swimming pool, arcade and more. The weather wasn’t too bad, the BBQ was great, and I played as much Galaga as possible. Here’s some moments:

(Janet Pierson, myself, and Tommy Pallotta hanging out on the basketball court. Allow me to say that without the support and encouragement of folks like Janet and Tommy, this blog would never really happen.)

(Filmmaker David Zellner takes a bike ride around the perimeter with his girlfriend.)

(Detour Filmproduction intern Lya Guerra makes a mad dash, supervising the clubhouse… and Rick’s massive Paths of Glory poster. Coincidentally, Lya was an intern at SXSW this past year.)

(And with a cool fireworks display, the night came to an end.)
