Montreal 2005.4: Artists vs. Industry

On Saturday, the name of the game was “Artists vs. Industry.” It was the annual Just for Laughs basketball game, and I wasn’t going to miss out. We played four quarters of full-court hoops and the game was very close throughout. Ultimately, the artists won, 65-62. Following the game, I had a great meeting with fellow UT alum-turned-Comedy Central and Late Show booker, Bart Coleman. We chatted about some ideas of bringing in more live comedy to SXSW. After that, it was off to a busy Saturday night in Quebec:

One of the most fascinating parts of the Montreal festivals, is the street fairs. It’s all very French and a spectacle to witness. Here are some moments at this year’s Just For Laughs street show:
