IN TELLURIDE | Surprise!

IN TELLURIDE | Surprise!

The Telluride Film Festival officially starts in about 90 minutes with the outdoor feed on Colorado Ave, the town’s main street (this year Cuban themed). Andy Garcia, here with his new film “The Lost City”, is scheduled to play bongos in the band to entertain fest-goers before the first official screenings of the fest start tonight at 6:30 and 7 p.m. Let’s just hope the rain has cleared out…

But for select group of patrons and press, a traditional surprise screening was held this afternoon. Guests gathered at the Galaxy to watch Ang Lee‘s “Brokeback Mountain”, hours after it debuted in Venice. The film will be screening a few more times this weekend. There are also rumors of a surprise screening tomorrow, featuring the full four hour cut of Martin Scorsese’s new doc about Bob Dylan, “No Direction Home”.
