This is about the time of the year where I urge people. I urge people to do a lot of things, sometimes unintentionally. But, this particular post is about finding a hotel during SXSW. Now, true, it’s a good five months away… but it’ll be here before you know it. And year after year, people wait until the very last minute to book their rooms. I’m not talking about filmmakers with work in the festival (be patient, your time will come soon enough), I’m talking about the folks who travel to SXSW to attend screenings or panels or parties or the trade show. If you know this is gonna be you in March, you might as well get your hotel booked as soon as you can.
At SXSW 2005, the hotels were all booked up by the time the festival rolled around. Don’t get left out. Now, there are many hotel options to choose from, and SXSW is here to help you find the best one for your needs. We’ve got a page on the site with extensive information about many area hotels. You register, you book your hotel… you’re done and set for March. It’s much better than booking late and finding out your top choices are sold-out.
