Apple has finally unveiled the highly-anticipated video iPod. Primarily a source to experience music videos of your favorite songs, Apple also has plans for branching out into the world of TV. A pact with ABC enables video iPod users to download episodes of shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives, for $1.99 each.
But, whether or not this will revolutionize TV the way iPods changed the music industry, is still up in the air:
“Analysts consider Apple’s much-anticipated introduction of a video iPod a test of whether consumers would embrace video on such a small screen. Over-the-air TV services are already available for cell phones but the quality remains substandard.”
