So, I didn’t even tune into the UT Longhorns football game last night until the second quarter. It’s been one of those seasons where, because UT has been so efficient, there was no way they couldn’t be ahead of the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. Well, they weren’t in the second quarter. In fact, they were down, 21-9. Uh-oh. By half-time, it was 28-12. Uh-oh. And then, I went to grab some sushi and checked out the game from the restaurant bar… and it was much better. Surprise! UT was now beating OSU, 47-28… and luckily, Vince Young and the Longhorns had saved the day/game.
Speaking of surprising “saves,” I woke up this morning completely forgetting that it’s Daylight Savings. I went to grab breakfast migas at Guero’s, thinking “where is everyone?” I mean, 9:30 a.m. is kinda early, but for Sunday breakfast at Guero’s? It was empty. Oh well. So, then I run a couple errands and it’s a ghost town. I get home and look at the clock. Uh-oh. Daylight Savings time hit, and I had no idea. So, now, it’s only 9:45 a.m. when I thought I was ordering migas at that time of the day. “Fall back,” and maybe I’ll fall back into bed. It’s either that, or watch Laguna Beach. Is that what people watch at this hour on a Sunday?
