A Busy Autumn for ‘Comedians’

A Busy Autumn for 'Comedians'

The other day, I blogged about a “Busy Autumn for SXSW Films.” Well, seems I forgot one other recent development. But, there’s a reason: the film itself has taken on a new, slightly altered life. The SXSW 2005 world premiere, The Comedians of Comedy, has spawned a television show. The series, on Comedy Central, will debut Friday night.

“Finally, a reality show about funny people!” describes Comedy Central, adding:

“Comedian Patton Oswalt takes to the road with his friends Brian Posehn, Zach Galifianakis, and Maria Bamford to tour indie rock clubs rather than conventional comedy clubs. We spend about half of the time watching their stand-up routines and the other half just following them around in their daily lives as they tour buying comic books, getting in trouble in the Cracker Barrel gift shop, and goofing around between shows.”

Get more information, on the show’s official Web site.
