Michael Haneke’s “Cache” won five awards Saturday night at the European Film Awards, presented in Berlin, while Marc Rothemund’s “Sophie Scholl, the Final Days” won three prizes. “Cache” won the awards for best European film, best European director, best actor for Daniel Auteuil, best European editor for Michael Hudecek & Nadine Muse, and the European Film Academy critics award. “Sophie Scholl” won the European actress award for Julia Jentsch and the best European director in people’s choice voting for Marc Rothemund. The voters also honored Jentsch as best actress.
