2006 is only hours away, which means a lot of different things. But, for Longhorn Football fans, it means we’re mere days away from the team’s biggest game in a decade and potentially its biggest game in a generation. The University of Texas Longhorns are about to face off against the USC Trojans for the Rose Bowl (a.k.a. the National Championship). There may have been a minor setback when Trojan Reggie Bush beat Longhorn Vince Young for the Heisman Trophy… but whatever: Bush has been nominated before, and Young will be nominated again.
Speaking of defensive, the Longhorns have spent the week in California practicing, celebrating, and prepping for the big day. Want to get more information about both teams? Visit the Longhorns Gameweek page. And, you can get a sense of why the Longhorn ad campaign slogan is “Live the Dream 2006.”
In not-so-related news, the Longhorns basketball team just beat Prairie View A&M, 110-38. They may be ranked 16th, but they’re coming back.
