"Penguins" Top Intimate Goldeneye Fest/Retreat Event

The 2nd annual Goldeneye Film Festival & Retreat welcomed 200 guests to the luxurious former home of Ian Fleming, in Jamaica from December 7th – 13th. “March of the Penguins” won the audience award at the event, while the prize for best feature went to “Transamerica” and the best doc prize was awarded to “Grizzly Man” and “Boys of Baraka“. The directors award went to Michael Winterbottom and Fernando Meirelles, while the best Jamaican film prize went to “The Harder They Come” and the best music film award was presented to “Bob Dylan: No Direction Home“. The event, led by Palm Pictures’ Chris Blackwell & David Koh was also programmed by Josh Braun & Dan Braun of Submarine Entertainment, and Winnie Lau of Fortissimo Films. The fest was uniquely designed to include primarily DVD format screenings of its programming, with guests able to view festival films via a closed circuit, proprietary screening system.
