I’m not having a “lazy sunday” at all, unfortunately. But last night, when I tuned in to catch Neil Young and Jack Black on Saturday Night Live, myself and a few others stumbled upon a gem called “Lazy Sunday.” What is it? A three-minute rap song by SNL castmembers Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell that will be a classic. It’s a story song about the two of them enjoying a lazy Sunday in New York City, a day that includes Magnolia Bakery, Mr. Pibb, Red Vines, and “The Chronic-WHAT?-cles of Narnia.”
Now, on Sunday, people are searching for an online clip of the song. That way, we can enjoy lines such as “I love those cupcakes like McAdams loved Gosling” or rap lyrics about those trivia games on the pre-show cinema screens. Trust me, you just have to see it to believe it.
UPDATE: And, thankfully, by the popular demand… the folks at YouTube have answered the call. Click here to see “Lazy Sunday.” You have to stream it, so make sure the video and audio sync up before moving ahead. Enjoy.
