Four Faces of Eve

Four Faces of Eve

New Year’s Eve 2005 was a wildly fun and busy evening. I didn’t even make it to the big finale party, my friend Guilyn’s 007 in 006 bash at Mercury Hall, complete with Bond Girls. But, it was a full night all the same: Drinks at Jarod and Andrea’s house, dinner at La Traviata, and more:

(In downtown Austin, there was the “First Night” celebration, which included a parade along Congress Avenue.)

(The Zellner brothers – who have a new short called Redemptitude premiering at Sundance soon – hosted their annual year-end shindig at their house. As the clock starting ticking to midnight, David Zellner introduced “Father Time 2005” – Nathan Zellner – who apologized for the disasters of the year.)

(Some of us were lucky to catch a rare set by Odyssey, Austin’s greatest Journey cover band, featuring Austin Film Society’s Elisabeth Sikes. This banner, hung by their equipment, explains it all.)
