Some SXSW 2006 Premieres...

We’re announcing the full features lineup next week. But for now, just like in our recent brochure, here are some other titles we’re pleased to announce:

Al Franken in God Spoke, directed by Nick Doob and Chris Hegedus. (World Premiere)
A cinema verite pursuit of Al Franken, shot over the course of two years, the film follows the former SNL writer turned political attack dog from his feud with Bill O’Reilly to the 2004 Presidential election.

Fired!, directed by Chris Bradley and Kyle Labrache. (World Premiere)
After being fired by Woody Allen, actress Annabelle Gurwitch set out – with the help of some famous faces – to look at what it means to be both hired and fired as an American worker in the global economy.

Heavens Fall, directed Terry Green. Cast: Timothy Hutton, David Strathairn, Anthony Mackie, Leelee Sobieski. (World Premiere)
Based on the “Scottsboro Boys” trial of the 1930s, a lawyer meets obstacles and injustice while defending the accused.

The Life of Reilly, directed by Barry Poltermann and Frank Anderson. (World Premiere)
Popular character actor and TV staple, Charles Nelson Reilly, delivers the final performance of his touching and hilarious one-man show.

The Oh in Ohio, directed by Billy Kent. Cast: Parkey Posey, Paul Rudd, Mischa Barton, Danny DeVito, and Liza Minnelli. (World Premiere)
An unsatisfied woman must come to terms with her marriage and herself when it becomes apparent that she has never had an orgasm.

V for Vendetta, Directed by James McTiegue. Cast: Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea.
From The Wachowski Brothers and a graphic novel by Alan Moore comes this futuristic tale of a young woman and a masked vigilante, as they ignite a revolution throughout London.
