One of my favorite Austin-based filmmakers was Guillermo Del Toro. I say, “was,” because Guillermo left Texas a couple of years ago with his wife. But, man, was he a tornado of fun while in town. During my days at The Daily Texan, I first met him for an interview and he’s just so charming. English is not his first language, but when he speaks it, he’s amazingly articulate… especially when it comes to profanity or sex. Anyway, I’ve been eager to see whatever I can of his next project, Pan’s Labyrinth, which was recently acquired for a U.S. release by Picturehouse.
The folks at Aint It Cool News have scored a few pre-production sketches for various characters in the film. Enough of me, click here to check ’em out.
