BBC: Thriller wins French movie award

Dark thriller “De Battre Mon Coeur S’est Arrete” (The Beat that My Heart Skipped) by Jacques Audiard picked up the best film award at the Lumiere Awards, considered France’s version of the Golden Globes. The film, a remake of 1970s US drama Fingers, won the best foreign-language film at Sunday’s British Academy of Film Awards. On Saturday it will be competing for 10 Cesars, France’s highest film honours. The film was released in the U.S. through Wellspring. BBC reports.
