"If Women Ruled the World" Screening to Fete Late Betty Friedan

In memory of feminist/activist Betty Friedan who died Saturday, a screening of Richard Karz‘s documentary, “If Women Ruled the World” will take place Wednesday. The film is a record is a record of a June 23, 1999 dinner in Washington, D.C. with Martha Stewart, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Day O’Connor, Liv Ullmann, Friedan, Jane Goodall, Queen Noor, Madeleine Albright, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Andrea Mitchell and Judith Shapiro to discuss the state of women’s issues. The screening will take place at the 92nd Street YMCA in New York, followed by a discussion with Karz and Barnard College president Judith Shapiro. For more information, visit the film’s website.
