The SXSW 2006 Emerging Visions section will feature several World or North American Premieres, screening for festival attendees. Champions, David Wike’s hilarious saga of three eccentric men bound on a roadtrip, will debut on March 10 at the Alamo S. Lamar #1. Also, on March 10, Tara Wray’s documentary Manhattan, Kansas will make its World Premiere at the same theater. Wray’s documentary is the gripping first-person portrayal of one young woman’s quest to better understand her mentally unstable mother.
