So, a group of us were scheduled to fly in a small plane to Durham, NC today for the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, but a minor mechanical problem has delayed us for at least four hours, so a group of us are stranded at a small New Jersey airport awaiting the arrival of new aircraft. The eight of us just finished a leisurely lunch nearby to kill some time…
For me though, the festival has really already begun, since among our group are a few acclaimed doc filmmakers, including Robert Drew, Albert Maysles, and Alan Berliner. It was a great opportunity to hear a bit about their work — new and old — as we prepare for a full weekend of watching and talking about docs.
