Swanberg’s ‘Bodies’ in Austin

Swanberg's 'Bodies' in Austin

Joe Swanberg, co-director and creator of recent SXSW premiere LOL, is coming back to Austin tonight for a special event at the Blue Theater. What is it? A screening of Joe’s Nerve.com series, Young American Bodies. Here’s some information:

Young American Bodies is a modern take on the soap opera, broadcasting on the smaller screen, and aimed not at the audience trapped at home doing their laundry, but the one trapped in front of their computers.

The show centers on Maggie and her New Year’s resolution to “not be the kind of girl that guys just want to sleep with and not date.” Her roommate, Casey, wants to help her keep the resolution, and her downstairs neighbor, Ben, would love to be the guy that she settles down with. Breaking free from the restraints of network television, Young American Bodies realistically explores the sex lives and relationships of its Gen-Y cast and it can be seen weekly on Nerve.com/video.

Get information on attending, right here. Show up at 6 p.m. and there will be drinks!
