The Texas Show

The Texas Show

I’m currently in Dallas, sitting on the jury for “The Texas Show,” the annual program hosted by the Dallas Video Festival and the Video Association of Dallas. We spent all day screening over 100 short films from around the state, and it was a lot of fun, not to mention very informative. There’s a wealth of filmmaking talent in this vast state of Texas, and it was a pleasure to sit front row and get a sample of what’s out there this year.

I think we’ve pretty much selected our picks from the 100+ titles, and made a program of 12-15 films. I’ll let the festival announce what we selected. Not only will they be featured in a program at the 19th Dallas Video Festival (August 8-13, 2006), but will also be made into a DVD to be showcased anywhere and everywhere. If you enjoy the program half as much as we did, you’re in for a treat.
