This is actually kind of amusing… and will she even show up to the ceremony? Check it out:

“If she were to win, her acceptance speech would exceed the length of her performance threefold,” quipped Hollywood Reporter columnist Ray Richmond.

“The whole incident reveals that the Emmy Awards are a mess. Take them with a grain of salt if you’re planning to watch,” wrote New York Post critic Adam Buckman in an article headlined “Emmy-barrassing.”

In the HBO film Mrs. Harris, [Ellen] Burstyn appeared for less than a quarter of a minute in a flashback scene reminiscing about diet doctor Herman Tarnower and spoke two lines totalling 38 words. The role was so small, she is listed in the credits as “Ex-Lover #3.”
