Emilio Estevez‘ “Bobby” will open the 3rd annual Dubai International Film Festival, organizers announced Monday. The film will be one of a number of gala screenings set for the event. Written and directed by Estevez, the film looks at the hours leading up to the assassination of Robert F. Other galas set for the United Arab Emirates event include the world premiere of Khaled Youssef‘s “Justified Cheating,” which is described by organizers as the story of, “a young, rich man who kills his wife and his brother when he finds them in a compromising situation. Told from shifting perspectives, the film captures the imagination of the audience with its brilliant screenplay and technical execution.” Also on tap are screenings of Ken Loach‘s “The Wind That Shakes The Barley,” Kabir Khan‘s “Kabul Express,” Gary Winick‘s “Charlotte’s Web,” Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu‘s “Babel,” and Allen Coulter‘s “Hollywoodland.” The festival will run from December 10 – 17.
