'Grace' is already gone

It may be a real downer, as opposed to the faux-downer of Little Miss Sunshine, but James C. Strouse’s Grace is Gone managed to deliver on its Saturday night, Sunshine slot. The film, starring John Cusack as a widower and father, reportedly sold to the Weinstein Co. after hours of lengthy negotiations at the Cinetic condo. In related news, Magnolia finally closed its deal for Dan Klores’ documentary Crazy Love. Oh, and Austin-based environmental documentary The Unforeseen (by SXSW alum Laura Dunn), sold its TV rights to the Sundace Channel while still pursuing theatrical options.
