Today, the 31st Atlanta Film Festival will cross the 1,200 submission threshold. Festival Director Dan Krovich and our trusty screening committee are pouring through the films with due diligence.
A promising line-up is starting to take shape—with a few slots still up for grabs. We are especially keen to create a program showcasing diverse voices for this year’s festival: more films by women and people of color can only strengthen the competition.
Also, in partnership with the CDC, the 31AFF will be presenting a series of films dealing with Global Health Issues; we are still seeking films (especially narratives!) dealing with Injury and Violence, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Health, Diseases, Birth Defects, Public Health, Aging, and more.
This is the last chance for filmmakers to submit though http://www.withoutabox.com/login/1074.
Our deadline is February 1!
