"Mark of Cain" Given "Movie That Matters" Nod from Rotterdam

International Film Festival Rotterdam selection “The Mark of Cain” (2007)by British director Marc Munden has been given the “Movies that Matter Award,” the festival announced Wednesday. The film was chosen out of ten films on human rights within the festival selection. Selected for its “raw realism,” the film spotlights how “our own soldiers” can also commit war crimes. Honorable mention was given to “Bil’ in My Love” by Shai Carmeli Pollak (Israel, 2006). [Brian Brooks]
