Method Fest to Honor Christopher Plummer

The Method Fest Independent Film Festival will present Christopher Plummer its 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award for “his outstanding contribution to cinema and the craft of acting in a career that spans a half-century.” The presentation will take place Saturday, April 1 before the screening of Michael Schroeder‘s festival centerpiece film “Man in the Chair,” which stars Plummer. Actor Robert Wagner will accept the award on Plummer’s behalf as Plummer is currently in New York in the play “Inherit the Wind.” Plummer’s acceptance speech, taped recently in New York, will be broadcast in the theater. Wagner, along with E. Emmet Walsh and Michael Angarano, also star in the film. The 9th annual The Method Fest begins Thursday, March 29, with the screening of the late Adrienne Shelly‘s film “Waitress,” and runs through April 5 in Calabasas, CA. [Brian Brooks]
