Just got back to the SXSW office after my plane arrived today, around 12:30 p.m. Thanks so much to everyone at the Atlanta Film Festival for their hospitality. The lineup was stellar, the screenings well-attended, and the community seemed really enthusiastic about the whole experience. Gabe, Dan, Paula, Elizabeth, Trin, congrats and thanks! Things are still underway in the ATL, as this coming weekend hosts the Closing Night Film, Fay Grim, with director Hal Hartley coming in from Berlin, to attend.
I’m only in Austin for about 72 hours, and then I get myself to Boston, for this year’s Independent Film Festival Boston (which, coincidentally, opens with Fay Grim). It’s gonna be a busy two weeks of regional festivals, but certainly well worth it. And, it keeps me out of Austin for a bit. Which, frankly, is not such a bad thing these days… more on that some other time.
