"Last Days of Left Eye" and "Fay Grim" Bookend 31st Atlanta Film Fest

Oscar nominated director Lauren Lazin‘s (“Tupac Resurrection“) “Last Days of Left Eye” will open the 31st Atlanta Film Festival on Thursday, April 19. The film centers on Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, the hip hop voice of TLC, the best-selling female R&B group of all time. On March 30, 2002, she decided to document her life, filing a mysterious spiritual retreat deep in the jungles of Honduras. On April 25, she died in a tragic accident, leaving behind her unedited tapes, which Lazin edited. Hal Hartley‘s Toronto and Sundance action/thriller “Fay Grim” will close the festival April 28.
