Just got home from a lovely dinner in honor of terrific guy (and wonderful filmmaker) George Ratliff’s quick trip to Austin, as part of John Pierson’s “Master Class” series at the University of Texas. Ratliff, a UT film school alum, directed the Sundance hit, Joshua, which Fox Searchlight will release this summer. The film, a creepy and effective thriller in the Bad Seed/Rosemary’s Baby tradition, is worth seeing. If you’re curious, check out what I wrote about the film, after seeing it this January in Park City.
Tuesday night is the highly-anticipated “Master Class” with Spike Lee. Can’t wait. More on that, after it happens.
