Some SXSW Films to See at Tribeca

You gonna be hanging out in New York this weekend, and unsure which films are worth your $18? Lemme offer a few recommendations, by pointing out a handful of SXSW 2007 films screening this weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival. Among them: Stephanie Johnes’ uplifting jump-roping documentary Doubletime, Jim Mickle’s horror story Mulberry Street, Seth Gordon’s entertaining video game doc King of Kong, Jonathan King’s Kiwi horror comedy Black Sheep, Stephen Kijak’s beautiful music portrait, Scott Walker: 30 Century Man, and then Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg’s moving Darfur document, The Devil Came on Horseback. These films won raves at SXSW 2007, so check ’em out while you can, in NYC!
