A few weeks ago, IMAGE hosted its own version of a weekend filmmaking competition in Atlanta. Think 48 Hour Film Project + 2 hours!
Up to 50 teams applied to create a film from concept to completion in 50 hours.
We gave them a few “Obstructions” as Lars von Trier would have it, including a mention of the number 31 (in honor of the 31st Atlanta Film Festival), use of a coin operated machine (in honor of our Festival Trailer and they also had to incorpate a noun, verb and adjective into a snipped of dailogue culled from a classic feature film, Mad Libs style.
37 teams finished. We screened the works in 4 programs.
11 were chosen, by popular vote, to advance to the next round.
Now the remainder have been posted on our Web site.
Two more films will advance to the finals.
Watch them here and VOTE for the Wild Card.
It’ll give you something to do while you wait to vote for Sanjaya next week…it is HIS universe after all.
