Hopkins' "Harvey" Lands at Overture

Overture Films has announced a deal to produce and distribute Joel Hopkins‘ “Last Chance Harvey,” starring Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, based on a script by Hopkins. The film, set to shoot in London on September, is described as a romantic drama about, “a man down on his luck (Hoffman) who finds an unlikely companion (Thompson) while in London attending his daughter’s wedding.” The film will be produced by Tim Perell of Process and Nicola Usborne (producer of Hopkins’ “Jump Tomorrow,” as well as “The Best Thief in the World“) with Overture’s Robert Kessel, EVP of Productions and Acquisitions, overseeing the project. Jawal Nga (“Forty Shades of Blue“) is the executive producer. Film is set to shoot in London in September. [Eugene Hernandez]
