My Wednesday MP3: Yeasayer's "Sunrise"

I’m a little obsessed with the band Yeasayer. I’ve only heard two songs, I’ve never seen them live, and I know nothing about them. But, the two songs I’ve heard… priceless. I blogged a few weeks ago about their new track, “2080,” and now Gorilla Vs. Bear directs us to another new song from their upcoming debut LP. This one is called “Sunrise,” and it does not disappoint. Instead of the Bowie/Arcade Fire sounds of “2080,” this one is little more like Genesis/Fleetwood Mac, but way modern. There’s no chance Yeasayer’s new album could be this great. Could it? Oh, and in small world news: it turns out that Hannah Takes the Stairs composer Kevin Bewersdorf is buddies with these guys, so much so they crashed at his Austin apartment during SXSW. Crazy.
