SXSW 2007 Films Scotland-bound

The beloved Edinburgh International Film Festival has revealed its lineup for the 2007 event, set to take place August 15-26 in the Scottish town. I was browsing the list of announced titles, and found a slew of terrific selections, such as Gus Van Sant’s Paranoid Park, Anton Corbijn’s Control, Paul Taylor’s We Are Together, George Ratliff’s Joshua, and many more. I was also thrilled to see a ton of SXSW 2007 hit films rounding out the Edinburgh lineup… quite a few, in fact.

They include: Adam Rapp’s Blackbird, Monty Miranda’s Skills Like This, Jennifer Venditti’s Billy The Kid, Stephanie Johnes’ Doubletime, Marlo Poras’ Run Granny Run, Rob VanAlkemade’s What Would Jesus Buy?, Rick Caine and Debbie Melnyk’s Manufacturing Dissent, Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up, Park Chan-wook’s I’m A Cyborg But That’s OK, and AJ Schnack’s Kurt Cobain About A Son. Whew… that’s a lot. And most of those were SXSW 2007 world premieres and/or award-winners. If you’re at Edinburgh and run into any of our alumni, buy them a pint for me.
