Ingmar Bergman, Michelangelo Antonioni, Tom Snyder, Bill Walsh, Laszlo Kovacs, Marvin Zindler, Michel Serrault, and Ulrich Mühe (someone must really have it in for international cinema right now). Today, I’m afraid I have to offer the sad news that three other icons of the entertainment world are no longer with us. And by “icons,” I mean that quite literally. SXSW has officially put our SXSW 2007 “little guys” to sleep. These “little guys:”
We’ve been through a lot with these “little guys,” over a year of joy, pain, and success. They helped us usher in SXSW 2007, worked hard for the cause, and served their purpose. That “little guy” with the microphone has sung his last song. The “little guy” with the spotlight, has flashed his last unsuspecting audience. And, that “little guy” with the electricity coming out of his hands… well, he’s just been damn creepy the whole time. As we all know, things and times change. SXSW 2007 is gone, and with it, all the graphic design it included. SXSW 2008 is born.
