SXSW (and Sundance) 2007 sensation, The Unforeseen, has announced a theatrical distribution deal. Austin documentary filmmaker Laura Dunn’s textured and probing nonfiction account of the political/environmental history of local Barton Springs, has garnered some big raves throughout its healthy festival run. Perhaps not surprisingly, it was a HUGE draw during this year’s SXSW, where locals and out-of-towners alike could bask in the cinematic beauty but cultural murkiness of the film’s subject matter. According to indieWIRE, distributor Cinema Guild plans to open the doc in limited release by this Fall.
