'Darkon,' 'Helvetica,' 'Billy' Weekend in NYC

It’s a SXSW doc alumni kind of weekend in New York. Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel’s audience-award winning doc, Darkon, opens in New York this weekend at the Cinema Village… Gary Hustwit’s SXSW 2007 premiere, Helvetica, opened at the IFC Center this week… Jennifer Venditti’s SXSW winning Billy The Kid has a Rooftop Films screening on Friday night… and AJ Schnack will be landing in the Big Apple to do some press for his SXSW 2007 documentary Kurt Cobain About a Son (which opens early next month). Oh, and don’t forget that SXSW 2007 non-doc, Great World of Sound by Craig Zobel, opens in NYC this weekend as well. It’s gonna be busy.
