Greg Berlanti, the creator of Brothers and Sisters and Everwood, is following his big gay ensemble pic and directorial debut, The Broken Hearts Club (featuring a pre-Scrubs Zach Braff as a gay drug addict), with… The Green Lantern. Yes, that Green Lantern. Berlanti will write the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Donald De Line will produce; Andrew Haas is exec producer, reports Variety. Berlanti follows Bryan Singer and Joel Schumacher as the next queer director to make the move to superheroland (which makes sense considering the queer subtext of most superhero movies and the gay aesthetic of most of their costumes, which Joel might have taken too far)…
