Bono and Edge Pay Tribute to Hutchence

This is a pretty good quality video recording from a surprise acoustic set by U2’s Bono and The Edge which took place over the weekend at London’s Union Chapel (where a charity show was underway). The duo reportedly played a four-song set, and I’m sure it was all great, but this rendition of “Desire” is especially poignant. The reason: they played this show almost 10 years to the day INXS frontman Michael Hutchence died. Paying tribute to their deceased friend, Bono incorporates lyrics from INXS hits “Need You Tonight” and “Never Tear Us Apart.” Check it out:
