I’ve started to catch up on HBO’s new miniseries, John Adams, and it’s quite an impressive achievement. Plus, it’s worth noting that this is Tom Hanks’ fourth producing success in a row with the cable network, following From Earth to the Moon (1998), Band of Brothers (2001), and Big Love (2006-?). Not a bad winning streak, which will be tested again next year with a brand-new HBO miniseries, The Pacific. In the meantime, though, he (and all of us) can bask in the gripping and nuanced saga that is John Adams.
