iW NEWS | Maryland Film Festival Sets Line-Up

The 10th Anniversary of the Maryland Film Festival, held in downtown Baltimore, will take place May 1-4, 2009. Its programming was announced Monday, including the annual “John Waters Pick,” this year scheduled as Claude Chabrol‘s “Story of Women,” which Waters himself will introduce. Other highlights include closing night selection “Confessions of a Ex-Doofus Itchy Footed Mutha,” directed by Melvin Van Peebles, as well Nanette Burstein‘s “American Teen,” Jay and Mark Duplass‘ “Baghead,” Alex Gibney‘s “Gonzo,” Azazel Jacobs‘ “Momma’s Man” and Joe Swanberg and Greta Gerwig‘s “Nights and Weekends.” [Peter Knegt]
