iAt the San Francisco International Film Festival yesterday, Mushon Salmona‘s “Vasermil” won the New Director’s Award, while Yung Chang‘s “Up The Yangtze” won the prize for best documentary feature. Dawn Logsdon‘s “Faubourg Treme: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans” won the Bay Area Documentary Feature prize and Todd Herman‘s “Cabinet” won the Bay Area short prize and the New Visions prize. Christina A. Voros‘ “The Ladies” won the documentary short prize and Jean-Bernard Marlin & Benoit RambourgThick Skinned” won the narrative short award, Chris Lavis & Maciek Szczerbowski won the animated short film prize for “Madame Tutli-Putli.” [Eugene Hernandez]
