Apple Makes a Convincing iPhone Argument

Apple Makes a Convincing iPhone Argument

I own a BlackBerry, currently the fourth version I’ve had. I’m dedicated to it and I prefer it, even over the iPhone. But today’s announcement at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, makes a potential believer, even out of me. The price is dropping: an 8GB version will be $199, and the 16GB version will sell for $299. The new phone will use 3G data, which makes it incredibly fast, nearly as fast as WiFi. There will be new blog-enabled applications, allowing for seamless blogging from your phone. Additional applications include service by eBay, the Associated Press, and an Enterprise server (which will be a major blow to BlackBerry’s business clients). The iPhone 2.0 comes to stores on July 11, and the biggest competition will be BlackBerry’s upcoming Bold phone, also due this summer. For a side-by-side comparison of these two new phones, check out this handy chart created by Portfolio.
