Variety reports that Quentin Tarantino attended the Hollywood premiere for Kevin Costner’s new political comedy, Swing Vote. Should be no big deal, right? Celebrities attend Hollywood premieres all the time, right? Sort of. This is an odd one for Tarantino to be at, and he knows it. Why would the cool-to-a-fault QT attend the premiere of a fairly middle-of-the-road dramedy? This leads the cynic in me to wonder if one of the two is a possibility:
1. Tarantino was there because of a current or potential female companion.
2. Tarantino is trying to cast Costner in his hyped WWII epic, Inglorious Bastards.
Tarantino does have the Midas touch when it comes to revamping a worn-out career, just ask John Travolta, David Carradine, Robert Forster, or Kurt Russell. Could Kevin Costner be next?
